The Printed and the Built team was this week very kindly invited to the library of the Oslo Cathedral School – a veritable treasure-trove! Its librarian, Ernst Bjerke, generously showed us around his subterranean realm, a suite of rooms packed with thousands of books from the seventeenth century until today. The collection covers a wide range of topics – as wide as subjects taught in its school, including the classical languages, theology, music, history, philosophy, science, and of course architecture and engineering. The P&B team eagerly surveyed tomes large and small, from travel guides to manuals on hydraulics. Thank you very much to Ernst Bjerke for the invitation and tour! We will be back!
