AHO PhD Fellows Reading Colloquium

The Printed and Built PhD dissertations on Norwegian architecture and print culture are closely interlinked. Thus, the fellows meet in archives and in between library bookshelves, and material has been shared and discussed over emails and other channels of communication. Since January 2016 the PhD fellows in The Printed and Built project have arranged monthly colloquia reading each others work in progress, also involving other PhD fellows from the Institute of Form Theory and History. As an informal, open, critical and trusting space for discussion, these workshops have proven to be valuable opportunities for sharing work in progress, ideas and approaches. They have woven our research together by means of referencing and tracing trajectories of architectural motifs, themes and discussions, as well as acted as a forum for sharing thoughts and experiences on research methods and writing process.
