The Printed and the Built runs an annual elective course for master students from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Spring 2015, this course produced the collection On Architecture in Nine Books; a study of the multifarious publication cultures that architecture is surrounded by and entangled in. The nine students studied and practiced a series of textual genres, from the treatise to the blog and from the technical specification to the murder mystery. Oscillating between academic research and experimental writing, we explored the complex relationship between the printed and the built.
